101 Random Stuff bout Her♥

She is sometimes perceived as being cold & aloof cos she doesn’t let on much bout herself. She likes to assure you that this is not always the case, cos she can be WARM & OPEN, if she chooses to :D

Here is a list of random stuff about her, assuming she comes up with 101 of them as the title of the page suggests ;)

#1 She is a sentimental kiddo, who doesn’t mass delete her smses nor throws away any letters or diaries that have accumulated over the years. Except once when she deleted all the smses from a particular sender in a fit of an anger, though she kinda regrets it sometimes.

#2 She gets tired of things easily, evident from the way she changes her blog url and all, but at the same time, she will give her all, once she has chosen to put her heart and soul into that particular something.

#3 She likes dark chocolates a lot! Not white chocolate though, she thinks they’re just too sweet.

#4 She likes observing people a lot and is sometimes content with just sitting aside and watching the people dynamics around her. This is also the reason why she doesn’t exactly mind taking the MRT home everyday.

#5  She has like, 2 Chinese songs in her iPod currently._. But she has been using much more Chinese in her daily conversations thanks to her two awesome friends, GM and LD ;D

#6  She likes people giving her pet names and she likes giving people pet names too, cos she feels that it’s all about being affectionate

#7 But she suspects that, in the future at least, she will mind if her boyfriend calls her “dear” because of her English teacher’s excessive use of “Oh dear!”. And the fact that “dear” sounds very sarcastic. “Darling”, “darl”, “baby” or “dearie” will do just fine(: In her opinion, at least.

#8  She thinks people who are lefties are very awesome! but of course this has no relation to her being leftie as well. ; )

#9  Her favourite numbers are 7 and 2!

#10  If given a choice, she’d always choose left over right. Because since the heart is located at the left-er portion of the chest cavity, she likes to think that she is following her heart.

#11 She has the tendency to dao smses that are very short. Hoho. Unless it’s like a “I miss you” or “I love you”, but then again, it’s kinda weird if I just reply “Yeah, I miss you too”. Like somehow something isn’t right.

#12 She also has the tendency to dao people who take uber long to reply.

#13  She thinks guys who can cook are sexy!

#14  She is terribly afraid to watch gory shows but she is still terribly curious to know what happens at the end! She tries to drag a macho (riiight) good friend to watch with her, as a solution. ; )

#15  Don’t tell her “Curiosity kills the cat” as a response to something you don’t want to let her know, cos she’ll respond with a “But cats have nine lives.”

#16  She realizes that despite her dislike for people who reply very slowly and unpromptly with short, one-worded smses on a regular basis, they have since allowed her to develop more patience and understanding towards those kind of people.

#17  She doesn’t know how to accept flattery well, cos well, she doesn’t get them often. So she will instinctively brush it off, thinking you are feeding her some bullshit. And it’s not that she’s trying to act humble, contrary to popular belief.

#18  It almost always matters when she says “It doesn’t matter”

#19  She’s a doggie person! And she doesn’t really like cats hoho.

#20  She is a lousy speaker and presenter & it doesn’t help that she was once from Gavel Club and so everyone expects her to be able to speak well.

#21  She dislikes letting teachers down and disappointing them.. Especially those who really put in their best efforts for their students. Which might actually overall be a good thing, as she will be more determined to make things better! But then again, the feeling sucks.

#22  She thinks people who swear excessively are totally UNCOOL. She’s not some prude who condemns swearing cos she thinks it’s pretty okay if the situation and mood call for some ranting and all, but having verbal diarrhoea and peppering sentences with swear words doesn’t exactly reflect well on oneself, in her humble opinion.

#23  She cries very easily when watching movies (thankfully it’s mostly in the dark hoho) and reading books. Sniffs :’)

#24  She shys away from strawberry milkshakes cos she always get a stomach upset when she drinks them! D:

#25  She seldom open her birthday or christmas presents in front of the person who gave it to her, for fear that she doesn’t like it and does not react in time to gush about it the way the person would like her to.

#26  She seldom does quizzes! Thus explaining how she has accumulated many notes (from facebook) and quizzes through the years (or rather, months). But okay, one day, she might just sit down and do them :D

#27  She likes to take pictures, though she shys away from candid shots cos they make her look uber unglam. But she likes it when she has pictures to serve as memories, especially in the future when her mind starts failing her.

#28  She likes watching movies! LOADS of them, in fact :D and she’s the kind who likes to talk (albeit softly, of course) and discuss bout the show and character development during the show. So don’t seat next to her if you can’t stand those kind of people ;)

#29  Although she isn’t a good runner, she still likes the feeling of running. It makes her feel alive and it’s like she’s running free from everything and she can momentarily forget bout everything that has been bothering her.

#30  In addition to Point 29, although she doesn’t run well, she feels very disappointed in herself when she doesn’t run up to her standards she set for herself. And this can actually affect her mood, a lot.

#31  She got her heart trampled on badly once waaaay back when she was still young, impressionable and naive. (and come to think of it, it wasn’t even love, gee) and though she has since gotten over it, she makes sure that she will never be so greatly affected by love, relationships or guys ever again! At least, in her high school years of course. And she shall shamelessly declare that she has kept to that all these while. (Though fine, obviously she gets upset. But not to that extent.)

#32  She likes to think a lot of “what might have been“s, “what coulda been“s & “what went wrong“s. Maybe that’s the reason why she enjoys history?

#33  For those who don’t know, she hates it when people give her nudges on purpose. Unless it’s something really urgent, don’t nudge, for goodness sake. It’s okay if it’s done accidentally. But seriously, nudging is totally despo, with a capital D.

#34  For the record, she can’t feel nudges cos she disabled them, but still. That doesn’t change anything. She is prone to even more daoing after nudging lol.

#35  She can listen to a song that she’s currently hooked onto on repeat, for like 200 times? Yeah the record is like, 288 times :D

#36  She loves eating a lot! Her parents used to say that whenever she went for buffet, the company will make a loss :D

#37  Her current favourite authors are Jodi Picoult & Harlan Coben :D

#38  She seldom replies messages of not-so-close friends at night anymore, cos in the night she’s a completely different creature and somehow the way she talks changes D: not neccessarily a good thing though.

#39  She has not looked forward so much for cca for the past two years, until she joined girls soccer this year! Seriously :D for the past two years, she always dreaded going for cca cos she felt that nothing she did was up to mark.

#40 She prefers watching non-animated films in cinema. She prefers deep shows that makes one ponder bout life or bout human beings or emotions.

#41  She has made it a point not to watch animated films in cinemas, unless it’s a class outing or it’s really something so good like Finding Nemo (which she has watched 5 times?) or only if it’s for someone really worth it.

#42  She finds it very weird and surreal (somehow) when she looks at someone and realizes that she knows so much bout that person just cos she has friends or seniors who tell her a lot bout that particular person even when she hardly knows him or her personally. And this makes her wonder if there’s people out there looking at her the same way and wondering the same thing. Surreal isn’t it?

#43  Precisely because of #42, she is mostly aloof to the people she’s not close to. And she supposes that it gives those people a very hostile feeling, but she knows that she’ll only confide in people she can trust, or people that she know will have no means or ways to spread stuff around, i.e. from another school or social circle all together.

#44  She only allows Jibee to touch her phone, without feeling apprehensive bout anything, seriously. Cos she knows Jibee wouldn’t can’t do anything funny with it :D

#45  She doesn’t like wearing sleeveless shirts out (or rather she has never worn sleeveless out or in the house for the past year or so) because she feels that she’d look very horrible, given that she hunches.

#46  She has never sang at kbox with her friends or anyone that’s not family cos she is very self conscious as she feels that her voice is not pleasant to the ears at all! D: but she hopes that she will eventually be so comfortable with someone that she’ll actually want to go :D

#47  It’s sort of impossible for her to get hooked onto games like Maple Story or Rakion (well Aaron did try, and she played it for a grand total of 5 minutes :D) cos she doesn’t have the interest and commitment to train till she is able to level up and be a pro! She rather play those one-off kind of games, and preferably shooting or car racing games cos those give an adrenaline RUSH and there’s no need to train up for those for yearssssss :D

#48  She got addicted once to QuadraPop, the tetris-like game in Sony Ericsson phones and boy, she was really hooked onto it. She remembers playing with Aaron in chemistry class where they’d alternate after every 5 levels. She finally couldn’t stand how addicted she was to it, and promptly deleted the entire game from the phone. She still wishes she didn’t do it sometimes, but then again, it was probably all for her own good.

#49  She doesn’t like having meals all alone :( She rathers not eat in that case. But true, these days, maybe to a certain extent, she doesn’t really mind eating alone.

#50  Half of her password is the telephone number of her crush in primary school :D She is considering calling it one day, like when she actually musters the courage to do so, that is :D

#51  She finds it a HUGE turn off if you say and apologize with a “sorry:)” unless it’s meant to be a sarcastic or it’s meant to be a joke to begin with. Otherwise she feels that you’re treating her like a joke, seriously.

#52  She is an extremely light sleeper. And she figures it’d come in handy when there’s a fire or something late at night hurhur.

#53  She fears of going blind and being paralysed. So much so that she has this feeling that freak accidents might happen anytime.

#54  She doesn’t like going to the toilets in the wee (pun intended) hours of the morning cos she fears that she’d bump into some ghosts or something will grab her.

#55  As a baby and toddler, she was diagnosed by the doctors as not being able to sleep easily. Now after being in this school for 4 years & counting, she counts her blessings whenever she gets to sleep early:)

#56  She never knew how to play minesweeper till this year. And she always thought that the whole point of the game was to let it explode in the shortest time possible! :D

#57  She dislikes having to press “reply to all” in an email. Cos she always has the feeling that she is like, “washing all her dirty linen in public” and cos she is really conscious bout the fact that her english might be too informal or too singlish-like! D:

#58  One of her favourite authors, Lurlene McDaniel, inspired her to want to donate her organs when she dies, thanks to the heartwarming and soul-searching kind of books she writes. Though she doesn’t really have an idea on how to go about doing it just yet. :o

#59  She finds it very tough to answer people when they ask her what’s her favourite colour. Which explains why she always say “nothing in particular” in those quizzes.

#60  She is the kind of girl who enjoys a walk in the park or along the beach or lying on the sand and gazing up upon the stars at night with her special somebody rather than going somewhere crowded and noisy. She’s all for heart to heart conversations which would make her really boring for people who don’t enjoy it. But still, she has her wild moments :D

#61  She likes showering a lot! She sometimes showers up to 3-4 times a day just to feel fresher and “wash off” the hustle and bustle of life. And sometimes she thinks of the Lady Macbeth scene whilst she’s showering, of how she seemingly couldn’t get those bloodstains of her hands :o

#62  She has a knack for being really melodramatic and exaggerating like her friends like to say. But all those are just for laughs, she wouldn’t be that way when it comes to serious matters!

#63  She used to care a lot bout what people say bout her. Okay, maybe she still does care, but definitely not as much. Cos after all those “trials in life” (ref the point above on being melodramatic :D), she realizes that the ones who really matter are those who really do matter, and not those random insignificant people who pretend to be there for you. And besides those insignificant people don’t know her at all, not one single bit.  Besides if she has to use up energy to care, she’d rather care bout people who matter to her :)

#64  She likes photographs in black and white or grey scale :) She feels it just makes everything seems more intimate and romantic. Somehow :D

#65  She realizes the best way for her NOT to spend money on a whim is to have nice crisp notes in her wallet, cos she would have the tendency not to spend them. On the other hand, having shillings and loose change in her wallet would result in her buying small stuff and snacks as she will want to get rid of them D:

#66  She loves flowers, especially when they’re given to her as a surprise or for Valentine’s Day (if she’s lucky enough, that is) but she’s always very sad when the flowers wilt off! Can’t they live forever :( She normally does flower-pressing, so as to preserve them though :)

#67  She thinks black roses are really elegant & gives out a mysterious aura. Though they mightn’t be too presentable or appropriate to give?

#68  She is very happy when she manages to catch 11:11 on her watch/clock! She will make a tiny wish when she manages so :) Just one of her many quirky habits.

#69  She loves bubble tea, even though they’re bad for health yesh she knows that. But the best bubble tea is definitely the ones she drank in Taiwan when she went there for holidays in 2008 :)

#70  She hopes to make a graduation trip with a few of her friends or maybe with her favourite cousin! This way, she can actually have something to look forward to & work towards :)

#71  She is slightly afraid of Ricola Strawberry flavoured sweets now and she doesn’t think that she has ate it since K2 :o It used to be her favourite flavour, but after puking it all out before going into the operation theatre (but it doesn’t mean that she wasn’t touched by the fact that her mum bought it for her as a form of distraction so that she would not feel so much pain :D), she really doesn’t wanna have anything too strawberryish anymore.

#72  She used to wonder how fax machines work. When she was young and naive, she used to think that at any given time, there would be papers flying all around the world, from one fax machine to another :D Then the question that always baffled her was how and why didn’t the papers get wet even when it is raining :D (For the record, she doesn’t think that she actually fully understand how it works either._.)

#73  She goes through a font craze every once in awhile, like every assignment, note, poster, project, whatever will be using that font. It used to be Comic Sans in primary school (oh the horrors), then Arial Narrow (in Year One) then Century Gothic (Year Two) then random fonts like Georgia, Garamond, Sylfaen, etc (Year Three), then Andalus (Year Four). Come to think of it, maybe the fonts used are a reflection of the situations in her years then.

#74  She is content with being a “ghost” during mass conversations. Which means not commenting much though actively reading what is being said, until she sees or feels the need to comment on something.

#75  She likes pressing the traffic light button everytime she walks past a junction. This makes her very irritating in the eyes of the drivers cos this means that they would have to stop hurhur! :D

#76  If she seems unnaturally high, it probably really is unnatural. Unless she’s really really very happy, if not it’s likely cos she’s just nervous or sad.

#77  She has the habit of dragging text whilst reading on the computer. So well, this means that she tends to discover hidden text! :O

#78  She kinda dislikes people going through her iPod and looking at the songs she listens to, because she feels that you can know quite a bit bout the person through the songs he or she likes!

#79  For the record, she likes English & the occasional Cantonese songs :) Not so much Chinese since she didn’t have much exposure to it, except in Primary school where she was crazy over S.H.E (Yesh, just like GM) & F4!!! Omg can you believe it!?

#80 She doesn’t listen to K-Pop or J-Pop cos she’s too lazy to check out the lyrics and meanings behind them since she only likes listening to songs with nice meaningful lyrics! :D So by not understanding Korean or Japanese (obviously), the simplest thing is just stick with English songs. (Omg maybe this is the reason why she doesn’t listen to Chinese songs too =/)

#81  She detests keychains with those little bells cos she finds the ringing and jiggling of the bells VERY irritating! Somehow she feels like a cow/pig/dog/cat when she has bells attached to her! So normally, she will just detach the bells and throw them away. Which is kinda funny since she’s in the NoBEL(L) House, but then again pay attention to the word: NObel :)

#82  She hates people who simply assume and don’t ask.

#83  She blocks people on MSN & Gtalk especially rather liberally. For the record, she prefers Gtalk when it comes to IM-ing (the gadget, I mean, not the inbox one) so if you need to buzz her urgently, you can almost always get her on Gtalk (well, unless you’re on my block list HAHAH)

#84  She dislikes people who drag their feet while walking. Especially if you’re wearing flipflops, it makes it shuper irritating!!! This is also the reason why you will never catch her dragging her feet, unless she is really depressed and she is dragging herself home from school.

#85  She almost always wear her watch, even when she is home or sleeping (especially when overseas)! The only time she doesn’t wear is when she is showering which is also the time to give her watch a scrubbie :) She feels naked without her watch :D But she takes them out as a routine during exams/tests.

#86  Her favourite animal is a deer :) You can ask her why and she will tell you the reason :D

#87  She has the constant need and urge to meddle with something in her hands or she will go crazy. This is also the reason why she has not owned a slide phone cos she thinks she will spoil them really easily since she is likely to slide them bout 93482948735984364327436249 times a day :)

#88  She is sometimes afraid to look at someone in the eyes when they speak to her (e.g. teachers or when having a one-to-one talk) cos she feels naked cos she has the feeling that the other party is looking right into her soul by looking at her in the eye. This does not apply when she is angry and confronting the other person of course.

#89  She walks with her head down most of the time, except when crossing the road or when looking out for somebody. She likes to count the number of steps she takes or take note of how she strides and she is sometimes very childish cos she experiences a sense of glee when she can cover the distance she is supposed to walk with the length of her shoes (i.e. without leaving a small gap which she can’t fit her other foot in).

#90 Not too long ago, she developed a habit of turning to the last few pages of the book she is reading to check out the ending before she actually finishes the book. Her rationale was that she was afraid she’d die before she actually finishes the book, so she has to know who the killer was (if she’s reading a psychothriller) or whether the star-crossed lovers actually end up together (if she’s reading a romance novel) and also cos she can’t stand the suspense!

#91  The first thing she looks at of the other party would be their legs. Whether they are a guy or girl. (And whether they are sexy and toned or not LOL) Maybe this is the result of #89, but whatever it is, this is the reason why she can sometimes recognize people by their shoes (cos it’d be the second thing she notices anyways) and she can mostly always tell when someone changes his or her shoes!!!

#92  She clenches and unclenches her jaws a lot when she’s pissed off. So much so that the dentist actually asked her not to do it cos it wore off her rubber bands when she was wearing braces last time.

#93  She cannot understand how females can use small mini purses to store their stuff! Cos she only uses larger bags since she’d have to bring a book wherever she goes, a waterbottle, umbrella, tissue paper, yada yada. She should learn to be more lady-like, get a small purse with a sling, and just bring say, a tube of lipstick, handphone and her purse right :(

#94  She tries not to say “goodbye” when she has a choice, unless she’s really pissed off or she no longer intends to speak to the person for a long time. Goodbye just has this sense of finality to her.

#95  She tends to end most of sentences with a question mark, yes? She doesn’t know why either, maybe cos she doesn’t like people to be too assuming and in order to achieve that, she gotta be less assuming on her part as well? Yup.

#96  She figures that there should be a simile in honour of her! “As indecisive as a whaipeng” She suppose that says it all :)

#97  She very much prefers to have someone running in front of her than her having to lead runs. While there is a pressure to not lose face by stopping when she is leading, it doesn’t really work for her.

#98  She gulps down loads of water when she’s bout to cry. Somehow she has this childish belief that if she drinks loads of water before her tears are bout to spill, she will somehow be able to dilute them and stop crying. Of course, it helps that she doesn’t have to continue talking when she’s bout to cry since her mouth will be filled with water.

#99  She can’t stand girls’ voices which are too HIGH!!! It’s really very irritating to me. Maybe that’s why God gave her a voice which is like manly low :( Just so she wouldn’t not stand to hear herself talk.

#100  For the love of God, she can never ever figure if she’d be the “girl” or “guy” of a lesbian relationship if ever she becomes one half of a lesbian couple. Based on stereotypes, she’s too sensitive and not tomboyish enough to be the “guy” but not too girly to be the “girl”. Hmm. Maybe that’s why she’s 100% sure that she’s like completely straight, just so she doesn’t ever have to decide whether she’s the guy or girl of the relationship ;)

#101 AND SINCE YOU’VE BEEN READING SO MUCH BOUT HER (100 random facts bout her, to be exact), the last one shall be dedicated to her page. If you observe carefully on the hyperlink, you’d observe that it states 1001 random stuff instead of 101!!! That being said, it simply just means that most of time she tends to overestimate and “overplan” what she’d like to achieve, maybe it’s one of the traits of being an idealist :)
